Product Description
Photoacids are molecules that become more acidic upon absorption of light. Either the light causes a photodissociation to produce a strong acid, or the light causes photoassociation that leads to an increased acidity and dissociation of a proton. there are two main types of molecules that release protons upon illumination: photoacid generators (PAGs) and photoacids (PAHs). Photo Acid Generators (PAGs) are compounds that generate acid when exposed to light and they undergo proton photodissociation irreversibly.
Photo acid generators (PAGs) can be structurally classified into two groups: Ionic photo acid generators and non-ionic photo acid generators. Ionic types include sulfonium salts and iodonium salts, their characteristics include:the ability to select the acid to be generated from weak to strong and high thermal stability and low solubility in solvents. Non-ionic types include imidosulfonates and oximesulfonates, their characteristics include: high solubility in solvents and low thermal stability, but their type of acid generated is limited to sulfonic acid.
Our photo acid generator product line include Non-ionic types and Ionic types which used for resist applications industry. most of these products are available with purity above 99.5% and content of single metal belows 20 ppb. we also provide custom synthesis of PAGs.
This compound (Cas No. 2220251-66-9) belongs to the Ionic PAG with strong acid generation, mainly used in ArF lithography. the melting point is of 128-129°C, the appears is off-white powder, and the purity is over 99%.
